, 30.09.2016

CANYON//SRAM Racing is proud to welcome one of the most talented and versatile cyclists of our generation, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot. The French rider who achieved fame in 2015 by holding UCI World Champion titles in three separate disciplines will be part of the team from 1 January 2017.

Ferrand-Prévot brings her versatility and climbing strength to the German registered team as it starts its second year in the UCI Women’s WorldTour. The team continues to strive towards its goal of being at the forefront of women’s cycling and believes the addition of Ferrand-Prévot will boost these ambitions.

Ferrand-Prévot states “After five great years spent with the best riders in the world I’m glad to announce I’ll be riding for CANYON//SRAM Racing next year. Thank you to Canyon and the team for giving me the opportunity to join a super talented and strong line-up, and believing in me for the coming years.”

CANYON//SRAM Racing Team Manager Ronny Lauke said “We are happy to welcome such a young but already proven athlete to our modern program. Pauline obviously has a lot of potential, and we believe with our international roster and our approach to the sport, that she can develop further. With her abilities to race in all areas Pauline has created a unique career already and it will bolster our already high quality in the team, especially in the mountains.”

Frank Aldorf, Chief Brand Officer at Canyon Bicycles reiterates Lauke’s comments. “Pauline is one of the most complete athletes there is and has already reached such incredible highs. It’s easy to forget that she’s still only 24. We know Pauline has so much ahead of her and we want to create an environment that gives her all the support she needs to be the best she can be. Our priority is that Pauline is having a blast on the bike whatever she’s riding. As soon as that’s the case, success will come from there.”

The full roster for CANYON//SRAM Racing’s 2017 season will be announced at a later date.
