Lisa holds yellow before the final stage

Lisa Brennauer holds her lead in the general classification with one stage remaining at Lotto Thüringen Ladies Tour after yesterday’s stage in Greiz. The stage was won by Tayler Wiles (UHC) after a crash on the final corner caused several riders to come down, including Tiffany Cromwell. Cromwell suffered a haematoma to her hand but was cleared by doctors for any major damage.

An aggressive first part of the stage with several attacks were controlled by CANYON//SRAM Racing as it defended the leader’s jersey of Brennauer.

After the stage Director Sportif Ronny Lauke said “Tiff, Trixi and Mieke did well to control the race, and the yellow jersey was not in jeopardy once. It was unfortunate the crash of Tiff in the final corner, and we will have to see how she is for the final stage. We will have to go for the bonus seconds in the intermediate sprints and not let anyone get closer. I expect a hectic final day.”

The final 80km stage around Gotta starts at 11:00 and can be followed on Twitter with #LTLT17.
