RACING ACTION IN BRETAGNE, FRANCE

CANYON//SRAM Racing will race Kreitz Breizh on Thursday, 25 August, as a prelude to Saturday’s World Tour race in Bretagne, France. The team’s roster for Kreiz Breizh Elite Féminin is Alena Amialiusik, Neve Bradbury, Elise Chabbey, Tiffany Cromwell, Ella Harris and Maud Oudeman.

The 136.8km course has over 1800m of elevation as the parcours hits a 6-lap local circuit to finish. The race came onto the elite calendar in 2021 and has moved from a two-day tour to a one-day UCI 1.1 race.

On Saturday, 27 August, CANYON//SRAM Racing will race Classic Lorient Agglomeration – Trophée Ceratizit Plouay. Kasia Niewiadoma will come into the lineup in place of Maud Oudeman. The 159.5km Women’s World Tour race takes on a new look with a larger 127km-lap, followed by 2.5laps of a local circuit around Plouay to finish. The overall elevation remains the same from last year’s circuit-style race at just over 2100m, the parcours change will likely impact the race dynamic.

“We want to race aggressively in both races,” says Alena.

“Plouay is a favourite race on the calendar for many riders, myself included. It’s an undulating course that makes the racing unpredictable. It favours riders that are brave and willing to take risks to win. Even with the new course, I expect it to be raced aggressively. We have a strong team, and we aim for the win,” adds Alena.
