CANYON//SRAM Racing placed fourth in last night’s Crescent Vårgårda Team Time Trial in Sweden. The team finished 1 minute 41 seconds behind race winners Boels Dolmans. Cervelo Bigla and RaboLiv took the minor podium places.

The 42.5km circuit was a testing course. CANYON//SRAM Racing finished with four riders: Hannah Barnes, Elena Cecchini, Tiffany Cromwell and Trixi Worrack. Following the race Director Sportif Ronny Lauke gave credit to the teams who took the podium places.

“You have to give value to the efforts and performances of the others tonight. They were impressive and it hurts of course not to be on the podium. That being said I’m not negative about our own effort.”

“We have so few opportunities this year to see who we are as a team under race conditions. Especially with the races in Brazil it’s even more evident that we have missed some TTT practice and training camps. But we still have a big goal for our season at the World Championships in Doha and we remain focused on that. We will use the next period to build towards that goal and I’m looking forward to it.”
