STAGE 1 AT SETMANA CICLISTA VALENCIANA

Today’s Stage 1 of Setmana Ciclista Valenciana saw some bad luck for Shari Bossuyt as she crashed with less than 8km remaining on the stage. Despite her teammates’ efforts, Shari couldn’t make it back to contest the bunch sprint.
Ricarda Bauernfeind and Neve Bradbury finished the stage safely in the leading group. The stage was won by Elisa Balsamo (TFS), who took the first leader jersey of the four-day tour.
Going into stage 2 tomorrow, our best-placed GC rider is Neve Bradbury at +12 seconds in 55th position.
